The 6200AME Special Edition retains the classic ProOne features: Peter Ponzol’s ProOne neck design, hybrid rolled tone holes, patented trident key arms, blue steel needle springs, and Italian Pisoni Pro saxophone pads. The Soprano body design has been changed from a one-piece body to a removable straight and a curved neck, offering more flexible playing options. Furthermore, the 6200AME Special Edition builds on the high-spec foundation of the ProOne series, incorporating a range of design changes and unique aesthetic elements. Advanced Ergonomic Tuning:
Ergonomic adjustments have been made to the palm key cluster. The rollers and overall angle of the left and right-hand pinky key clusters have also been adjusted, making operation easier and more intuitive. This contributes to comfort during playing and facilitates technique during fast passages.
High-Precision Key Rod Positioning:
The key post screws of the saxophone have been replaced with rounded pivot screws. This design precisely positions the key rods within the key posts effectively eliminating side-to-side play and making key action more accurate. It also helps to maintain the effectiveness of the lubricant and reduces wear inside the key post holes.
Reinforced, Durable Structure:
On the soprano model, the long keys (Low Bb, Low B, G, High E, High F#) and long levers (Low C# lever, High F#, High G) are made from a harder nickel-silver alloy, which significantly enhances durability and resistance to deformation while allowing for faster key response. This ensures that your instrument stands the test of time.
Aesthetic Design and Craftsmanship:
The key touches feature new blue sandstone. With a deep blue background and metallic shimmer, paired with the crescent moon engraving on the body, the saxophone has an elegant “Starry Night” aesthetic. The body is further adorned with an exclusive special edition hand engraving, collectively showcasing the refined visual elements of this special edition.
Exclusive Portable Case:
The instrument is now paired with a new ABS case that features a detachable sheet music pocket on the front providing more flexible carrying options.
