Description
In honor of our 25th anniversary, we created the Model 25- old school style meets modern technique.
It features the same body and enlarged bell as our popular PowerBell series. The soldered rings on the drawn tone holes offer similar advantages as rolled tone holes, but with a more consistent pad seat. This model is cryogenically treated. This treatment can increase the strength of the brass, improve corrosion resistance, and reduce residual stress. Designed by musicians, for musicians, we have found that it also provides better resonance and fuller sound throughout the entire register.
The unlacquered brass develops a unique patina over time, making it one of the few horns that gets better with age. Our most intricate hand-engraving yet ensures that the Model 25 is a stunner.
“When I played the Model 25 tenor, I recognized that big PowerBell sound right away. But what really got my attention was the instrument’s immediate tonal response. When I pushed the envelope to get the Model 25 to sing and show its true colors, notes felt like they were jumping out of the horn and pouring into the room. Altissimo notes not only spoke with incredible ease but also resonated with deep tonal color.” DownBeat Magazine, May 2017
