He has been playing saxophone since he was twelve years old. Tony received his Bachelor of Instrumental Music Education from Capital University, and also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from The University of Georgia. Tony is starting his ninth year of being a high school band director. In that capacity, he is in charge of the Marching, Concert, Show, Pep, Beginning, Junior High, Elementary, and Jazz bands for the district. Outside of the classroom, Tony is the saxophonist for local Blues band, Mikey Mike and the Big Unit, and for a Folk/Pop band, Luvdisk. He also frequently plays at area jam sessions, and as a freelance saxophonist.
Tony’s most memorable performances include a performance with The Four Tops, and participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Saluting America’s Band Directors Marching Band, comprised of Band Directors from locations nationwide. He is looking forward to an upcoming Tournament of Roses Parade appearance with the same.
Tony looks forward to continuing work on an EP with Luvdisk, and starting to write his own original music.
