Growing up in a musically inclined family, Steven nurtured his love for music at an early age. His journey in music started when he played the piano and drums in the church before discovering his special interest in the saxophone in middle school and getting more exposure to the drums as he played on the drum line in high school. Steven would later attend Lander University for his Bachelor of Music. He studied under Columbia jazz mainstay Robert A. Gardiner, elevating his mastery of jazz music and eventually attaining multi-instrumentalist status.
Steven’s limber beats are elaborately fashioned, allowing the gifted saxophonist and classically trained pianist to play familiar renditions of great artists from Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson to Drake in his sold-out concerts. His latest EP, “Rooftop Melodies,” released in 2018, was produced by top Billboard chart saxophonist Vandell Andrew and is available on all digital outlets. After 15 years of undeniable professional experience playing the saxophone and a decade of bravura stage performances, Steven has carved out a name for himself as a consummate jazz artist. His penchant for jazz music has seen him voted the top jazz artist in Upstate SC by the Greenville News and become a social media star with over 7 million views. Even as his star continues to shine, Steven has received the Black history community leader spotlight, appeared in videos for BET, VH1, and ESPN, and worked with Jon Batiste to promote the Pixar movie “Soul.”
Steven Galloway loves to perform and does it with unrivaled energy and soul-crushing performance.
