"Hear What You Feel; Play What You Hear"

Eric Demmer, from Gulf Coast Records has won the 2021 and 2022 Blues Music Awards for their participation in the category of Best Blues Rock Album. The albums are “Rock N Roll: A Tribute to Chuck Berry” and “Resurrection” by Mike Zito. He has also been nominated for the 2023 Blues Blast Magazine Award in two categories: Best New Artist Album Debut and Best Horn Player.
“My sound is a blend of high-energy blues, funk, and rock-n-roll. My music is a fusion of various musical styles and influences. My message is simple: I want to remind everyone that authentic music comes from the heart and soul.”

In November of 2022, his album “So Fine” debuted at number five on the Billboard Blues charts. “So Fine” is a personal and professional expression of his relationships. Mr. Demmer’s professional career began in the early 1980s when he worked as a roadie for a Texas dancehall band. During that time, he became a sound engineer and worked for various sound companies. In 1989, he worked as a sound engineer on Clint Black’s “Killing Time” tour. After leaving the tour, he decided to focus on playing saxophone full-time and received an invitation to play with the legendary guitarist Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown in 1993. He remained a member of his band until he passed away in 2005.

From 2005 – 2012, Eric Demmer played saxophone and worked as a sound engineer for the nationally known club in Houston Texas, called Scott Gertner’s Sky Bar and Grill.  One of the notable highlights of his career was performing on Eric Clapton’s From the Cradle tour while playing with “Gate”. Mr. Demmer was also invited by Dicky Betts to perform with the Allman Brothers, and had the privilege of performing with many world-class artists such as Johnny Clyde Copeland, BB King, Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John, Buddy Guy, Johnnie Johnson, Les Paul, Billy Gibbons, and many more. More recently, in 2018, he played shows with the BB King Blues Band featuring Tito Jackson from the Jackson 5 and Mike Zito.
